Bradley R. Smith Memorial Annual Scholarship 5K Run/Walk

On Nov. 9, 2011, Brad was awarded the Silver Star for valor. It is the third highest military combat decoration that can be awarded to any branch of the U.S. military. It will be presented to his family in an award ceremony BEFORE this year's race:
Silver Star Ceremony will start at 8am on Field 4

Deadline is August 31st to pre register.

Registration after 8/31/12 does not include T-shirt.

Two water stations will be located at the 1 mile and 2 mile markers

Refreshments provided after race

"Monster" providing free energy drinks while supplies last.

Awards given for runners:

Male and female; 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place

Operation Enduring Freedom

Bradley Smith was a U.S.A.F. TACP and was killed in Afghanistan on January 3rd, 2010. He grew up in Troy, Illinois and graduated from Triad High School. Among many sports and activities, Brad loved to run.

All proceeds from the Bradley R. Smith Memorial Scholarship 5K will fund several scholarships benefiting local students.

Every year in January, Triad High School hosts the Annual Brad Smith Volleyball Tournament between teacher faculty and students.
All proceeds go to the BRS scholarship fund.
